Game: Day
Field: West Edmonton Mall
Wingmen: Ron Burgundy, ChrisVD, Joogathore
I arrived at West Edmonton Mall on Saturday, planning this event for a week – since I will be the first to admit that I slumped the moment the boot camp in Toronto came to a complete close. I made every single excuse to avoid leaving the house and actually interacting with women. After reviewing my notes, I began to become angry with my AFC side of myself.
‘Why the hell did I go to a four thousand boot camp to learn to attract and seduce women, if I don’t even go out and use the tactics and techniques I learnt?’ I made a decision right than and there, to force myself outside the house and at the very least interact with sets and improve my social skills. True, I may have a girlfriend – but I have not intention to keeping her as a long term relationship. Therefore I have to go out and approach – approach – approach. (Even if it means juggling work, love, friends and a notorious party life at the same time.)
So with that mindset – I arranged a meeting with one of the students from the Venusian Artist Boot camp; who luckily lives in Leduc. I discovered that he also took steps backwards in his game. I than followed the decision by inviting Ron Burgundy – who brought his wing, Selfish Gene (who had other plans during the day), 4real (who also had plans). Regardless we tore up west Edmonton mall as if it were our playground.
Openers Used:
1) “You spin me right round baby right round…” (3 sets – 2/3 responded very well and had high energy throughout the set. Very receptive!)
2) David Bowe Opener (2 sets, neither really took much interest – one blown out before the hook – moving set)
3) Cologne Opener (1 set, lone wolf – worked exceptionally well. Forgot that the purpose of the opener was to open…didn’t press any A2 material)
4) Cashmere Sweater Opener (1 set, Hired gun – excellent feedback, and shot the shit for a bit, with a little playful bantering. Opportunity for kino – and missed it.)
5) ‘How much does a Polar Bear weigh?’ (for Joogathore – just to conquer the fear of approach, and actually had fun using it)
6) Situational opener with Hudson’s girl at the front, minor kino – rock, paper, and scissors – negged – playful bantering. Ejected too early.
Sticking Points (things to improve)
1) Pressing on to A2 material. Rely less on the opener. Do not eject (crash and burn instead)
2) Kino escalation!
3) Locking In (bounce set or target to wall, or venue)
Good Points
1) Body Rocking, use of False Time Constraint – Roll Off
2) Abiding by the 3 second rule
3) Emotional State/Frame of mind
Game: Night
Field: Oil City
Wingmen: ChrisVD
I did not meet up to my expectation for what I wanted to accomplish on my first night out in a long time. I approached 2 sets, one went rather well, and actually was already locked in. Did some playful bantering and negs with the target – who showed some IOIs. But once again – lack of Kino! It’s definitely something I have to focus my attention on. Second set responded mediocre, and another set (which I don’t count) was blown out before I even ran two words of the opener. That I believe ruined my night.
Rather than maintaining my happy, playful, non-needy emotional state, I took the blow out as a personal blow. Something to also improve on. Also made me realize how uncomfortable the night venues are to me. I HAVE to make them comfortable. And the only way I will accomplish that is going out on a regular basis.
Sticking Points (things to improve on)
1) Non-neediness
2) Kino
3) A2 Material
4) Locking in
Good Points
1) Loud and Social (met new friends that night from a buddy of mine, and managed to practice some story telling routines, which in turn gave me value.)
2) Energetic
3) Approached on my own will – without someone pushing me into a set.
I want to master these skills. I truly want more adventures, women, and confidence in everything I do in my life. I am in mid process of changing my avatar, and I hope to truly become everything I’m supposed to be and more.
I will post more field reports in the near future.
