WEM Day-Sarge

Sorry for the late post guys, but now that I'm settled again in my own home, I can finally get my priorities straighten out.

Without further uh-due, here’s a quick FR.

The plan was to gather as many PUA’s, rAFC’s, Pros out to West Edmonton on my last day in Edmonton, thinking; 'I might as well make the best of my sources of knowledge and pull some solid game tactics from trial and error - while meeting some new people.'

Well, the plans were shortly altered, after calling a list of what seemed like 10 PUAs, to shortly only have 3 show up. *shrugs* Hey, can't really complain, I had a turn out anyway, and it sure wasn't going to stop me from running some game.

(Though a blow out later that day did leave a painful punch to my ego; which will be explained later)

I meet Picasso, Avikon, and Skorch down by the mini golf section of the mall.

Quick greetings, yada yada yada....

Well, Skorch goes off to get a coffee over at Chapters - which I think to myself, 'You know what, might as well open a set in the next 20 seconds and nip this AA in the butt before it gets out of control'

I stand in line, and here’s this HB6 cutie right behind me.

Okay....three second rule in effect....now!

Charisma: (Ran the Dog 70 Duo Opener)
HB: (responded quite well)
Charisma + HB : (Very small talk)
End of convo.

Mistakes - Lack of pushing through, no routine pulled, no story, and no neg.
Success - Followed the Three Second rule and opened, hooked.

I grab my coffee and make my merry way with Skorch and Picasso, as Skorch randomly points at some sets (Lack of effort on my part) while he makes his way to buy a belt.

Points to one set by an i-pod stand around the rink. 'Someone open that set'

I swallow my sudden pang of fear, cause i had the feeling i couldn't pull an opener after leaning at the ice rink, walking over to look at the i-pod stand and spontaneously talk about spells. The whole scenario played in my head horribly.

The HB drops the ipod cover she picks up as i'm walking to her. I kneel down to retrieve it, and give it back to her. and walk away.

WRONG MOVE!

I had an opening, it LITERALLY fell in my lap. I thought too much. I could have shot anything out and said at least - hey, i tried.

Mistake: Thought to much, just go with it
Success: N/A

Overall, bad set.

We run into Avikon, and Picasso opens a set on an esculator as we go up.

Skorch points at a cute asian woman, Hb7, and i go in.

Charisma: (2 Part Jealousy Kiss Opener)
HB7: (Very Receptive)
Charisma: (Gets into the root, once again, no neg)
HB7: (Receptive still)
Charisma : (Eject)

Mistakes: Used the false time constraint as an eject when i didn't need to, didn't neg, didn't sit down beside the target on the bench midway through the opener
Success: Opener and body language was well rehearsed.

Skorch points out a lone set in a woman clothing store.
Charisma: (Cashmere Sweater Opener)
Hb5: (Responds but with a negative vibe (she had a BF in the store))
Charisma: Ejected

Mistake: Lack of neg and story. Fuck it - just go all out.
Success: Opened

Two Set at London Drugs (the Blow out)
Skorch points at them, and it seems to easy. A HB8 and 7.

Charisma: Hey guys, can i get a woman opinion on something real quick?
Set: (reluctant) sure....
Charisma: (Mind draws blank...fucked up big time!)
Charisma: (sees the Hb 8 looking at him with her green eyes....) You have very beautiful eyes....can i touch them
Set: NEGATIVE RESPONSE
BLOWN OUT, negative body language my direction, heard, 'Creep' and felt instantly demoralized.

Failure: Leave Mystery's Neg one linear at home and go with something congruent in my nature.

I couldn't open another set till after supper.

Had a quick bite to eat a Moxies, had fun, shot the shit with the waitress, and just forgot about gaming for a few minutes and just chilled. Its needed sometimes.

Skorch goes home, and i try opening a walking set at the rink...

Charisma: (tries running opener)
Hb8 : (shakes her head and walks off)
Ouch....

Failure: Too strong? Frame of mind?
Success: Attempting to get in there again.

We finally hit Chapters, and i ask Avikon 'How the hell do you open a set at Chapters! (the same problem with 'Why am i asking stupid questions in weird scenarios? guess what, it doesn't matter - Over thinking it again.)

I'm like, okay, enough of this bull shit, lets look around. I find a Hb6 working in the kids department, i breathe in heavily and walk forward, 'No second thoughts this time, go with the flow....'

Charisma: Hey there, perhaps you could help me....
Hb 6: Oh for sure! what can i help you with
Charisma : (here comes the stuff out of my ass) I'm looking for a novel series - preferably fantasy for my 8 year old niece. Shes all into winnie the pooh, but i think its time to move away from that and try something more challenging and her age.
Hb 6: What level does she read at?
Charisma: *grins* this is where I'm proud to brag she can read at a 10 year old level. She's a very bright one. what do you suggest?
HB 6: (points out a series)
Charisma: (catches something to his eye) Oh my god....Animorphs! Holy shit, i haven't read this in over 8 years! I can't believe they still have that! Man, those were the days, what were your favorite books as a kid?

( we converse about old books and stories, threw a slight neg here, called her a dork and laughed it off, she laughs and calls me an ass. we look around a bit more, we talk about fantasy adult novels, than Harry Potter (yah for me....guh i hate that series) and we talk about other small things)

At this point I've been in for 5 minutes in convo, and i ejected.

Failure: Should have pressed for the number close. Might have worked, I'll never know now.
Success: My first decent set of the day - finally. Day game is so much harder i find than night game - whew, wow.

And thats basically it gents.

-Charisma out.
